Not all realtors are equal. In the planning process to sell our home, we contacted two agents who were well established selling homes in the area. Mike’s initial meeting with us blew us away. He was so very thorough in understanding our home and our priorities. He took photos and notes. He asked questions and answered just as many. He found positives for the little things we thought might inhibit a sale. He not only took time to know our house, he got to know us as a family. When he returned the next week with his market analysis, we were equally impressed. He took time to share information about the current state of the housing market and his marketing plan. He was thorough and gave us such confidence. Based on his market analysis, he set the price for our home above what we thought we could get – and he delivered, selling our home in 8 days. His customer service was excellent throughout. He even spent his Saturday hanging pictures to help stage our home. What happened to the other realtor? Not even close in terms of engagement and customer service. Mike was so far above in all aspects. During his second meeting with us, my wife and I independently realized he was the right person to sell our home. We did not even need to discuss it. As we readied our house to go on the market, he provided practical advice on areas to invest our time and money. He also connected us with contractors for the work. Many of the contractors were booked up due to the active housing market. But, they made room for us because of their ongoing relationship with Mike.My wife and I could not believe all the things Mike did for us. He was so humble and personable. He engaged our children during his visits. He was respectful of our home and time. He knocked the photography out of the park. He delivered his promises on time.Throughout the process Mike kept us informed and educated. He guided us through different concerns or anxieties that arose. His knowledge and experience kept us confident throughout. When we received our offer, he identified and negotiated away issues not in our favor.By the end of the process, we had gained such trust in and admiration for Mike and Lani. We sincerely felt they took care of us as if we were family.
